Let’s face it. Teemo’s deck is incredibly bad. Chump Whump, Lecturing Yordle, and Ava Achiever are all low impact/high cost units that clog up your hand every game while Sump Fumes falls off quickly in it’s ability to kill units. This boils down to us needing to win with Teemo, practically every game, with very little support from the rest of the deck.
With this in mind, our suggested strategy looks to maximize Teemo to his fullest. In order to pull off this strategy, you do need both 1 star power for the Armed and Ready ability along with both the Galeforce and Lost Chapters relics. You can take down some of the lower level adventures without this core, but you are going to struggle incredibly hard from the 3 star quests onward.

This setup is going to allow us to pull off the following sequence:
- Play Teemo
- Gain 3 spell mana from the Lost Chapters, netting +2 mana
- Scout attack with Teemo. Opponent gets 10 puffcaps (5 from Armed and Ready, 5 from Nexus Strike)
- Normal attack with Teemo. Opponent gets 5 puffcaps from Armed and Ready, Teemo flips, now Nexus striking for double puffcaps.
- End of turn: Teemo recalls, ready to be played next turn for additional Lost Chapters mana
We can pull off this sequence starting on turn 1. The puffcap strikes will start disintegrating our opponent’s health while the mana will allow us to stall their attacks with Stress Defense and Sump Fumes. You will be attempting to do this every single game.
It’s worth repeating again, you must make your best effort to play Teemo on turn 1 of every single game. You will lose the majority of games where Teemo is not drawn.
With the necessity to draw Teemo in mind, you will want to hard mulligan every game for Teemo. Unless you have a Teemo in your opening hand, you should mulligan away all 4 cards, regardless of how good they are.
To assist with drawing Teemo, we also recommend the following strategy.
- Start a new run
- Immediately retire
- Start a new run
- Select the Flexible Gameplan power

Over the course of your adventure, you must try to maximize your chances of drawing Teemo. You will be looking to remove the slow/weak cards from your deck (4+ cost units, Sump Fumes) at the Healers. You should seek out all Champion Item Chests to add more copies of Teemo to your deck. You can consider going to Gold Chests since they will not add cards to your deck.
You are now locked and loaded to pull off the Draw Teemo Every Game strategy.
Some important breakpoints in terms of Champion Level:
- You need level 13 in order to unlock 1 Rare and 1 Common relic. You can typically hit this breakpoint before hitting the 3 star quests. If not by the 3 stars, you will probably need to grind to level 13 to win the 3 star quests.
- Champion Level 20 unlocks “Game Start: Draw a champion”. This doesn’t guarantee a Teemo draw, but it most assuredly helps with this strategy. This may become a necessity if you don’t purchase a second Star Level.
