Battles with Bust #317 – Aatrox | Vayne | Shurima – Daily Rumble: Singleton

We’re continuing our preparation for the upcoming Runeterra Open, which will be in the Singleton format. After some experimentation, I’ve come to the conclusion that Aatrox is the way to go. One of your three factions should be devoted to Aatrox, as the equipment he provides are great in the early game and give you a fantastic late game game plan.

In our previous Singleton video, we looked at Aatrox, Kayn, and Vayne as our core Champions. I’ve since moved away from Kayn, as I wasn’t really impressed with the cultists. I’ve been dabbling with Targon as another option, as the dragons are kind of interesting. Today, we’re looking at Demacia Shurima along with Aatrox. We have a pretty standard set of Champions, including Lucian and Sivir, which allow us to more safely get in a lot of these equipment-based attacks.

To finish off these games, we’ll be casting the Aatrox spell, World Ender. We’re playing nine of the ten darkened equipment, and we’re playing all the rest along with a single copy of Swinging Glaive. This pile of equipment will make it much easier to drop the big spell.

As far as the Spells go, we have five separate strikes amongst the spells that we have in here. Single Combat, Fish Fight, and the like double up as removal that activates our World Ender. We also have a handful of combat tricks, including a single copy of Silence and Suppress. I suspect the Aatrox strategies to really pick up steam, so I’m happy to bring Silence and Suppress alongside the single copy of Rite of Negation.

So, let’s jump into The Gauntlet and see if we can’t get ourselves some victories! I’m confident that Aatrox and Vayne will be a potent strategy, and I’m excited to see how it plays out. With the right equipment and spells, I’m sure we’ll be able to get the job done. Good luck, everyone!
