Battles with Bust #336 – LeBlanc Ashe – Incoming Reckoning!

LeBlanc Ashe Gameplay Video

Today, we’re going to be playing with Ashe LeBlanc, a deck created by GrandpaRoji, a recent Worlds competitor and the master of Taliyah Malphite. GrandpaRoji recently hit rank one on the ladder with Ashe LeBlanc, so I wanted to give it a try.

LeBlanc Ashe Decklist

The deck has a nice cycle of synergies. First and foremost, it looks towards the Flash Freezes and Ashe’s Frostbites. Ashe is the mainstay of the deck, allowing you to get early game board control with Challengers and then close out the game by making all of your opponent’s units unable to block. We have a fairly small Frostbites theme within the deck, including Brittle Steel, Flash Freeze, Harsh Winds, and Icevale Archers.

The deck also has a minor reputation theme attached to it, with LeBlanc’s flip card becoming cheaper once you’ve struck with four separate five power units. We also have the other Reputation based cards in the deck, including Reckoning, Incisive Tactician, Strike, and Bloody Business.

Reckoning

Finally, the deck plays Reckoning, which has proven to be exceptionally powerful in this format. It comes in and just clears house, taking advantage of the poor interactivity of unit-based decks. You can also Frostbite one of your opponent’s units, reduce the attack down to one, play the Reckoning after, and kill off whatever you’re wanting.
