Today we’re talking about Vayne Jarvan, a deck that was popularized by infinipatrons who had a lot of success on the Eternal ladder and in the Runeterra Open last weekend. This deck has a lot of similarities to Jax Ornn, with the Forge package and the Weaponmasters, but it also has some unique differences that make it exceptionally strong.
The Night Ranger Defector is the real differentiator here. It’s a big scout unit that can generate a lot of interesting interactions with Vayne and the equipment package.

Another card I like to bring to the table is Inner Beast. It’s not as popular as Troll Chant, but I think it has a lot of advantages. It’s not as easy to get two-for-ones with Troll Chant, and Inner Beast gives us the bonus attack to help us win combats. Plus, it generates Stance Swaps, which can be used to put overwhelm onto a Ranger Knight Defector or Jarvan and close out games.
Finally, I’m a big fan of Tough in this current format. There are a lot of decks that rely on Pokey Sticks, Group Shots, and other one-damage removals, and Tough makes it difficult for them to take out our units. We have the Steadfast Elkins, Ranger Knight Defector, and Darkin Aegis to give us those tough bonuses.
That’s the deck I’m ready for battle with. I hope you are too. Let’s jump on in and see if we can get a good game or two today!
