I’m here to talk about my experience in the Top Cut of the Eternal Runeterra Open. This is my first Top Cut and I’m excited to have this milestone happen on a nice round number of videos.
For this tournament, I’m playing a triple Forge lineup. I chose this lineup because it’s good against all the aggro decks in the format. I feel pretty good about having the full Forge package between the new three cost unit that heals every turn and the mender that heals three whenever you play it. I also feel like I’m slightly unfavored against the Samira Seraphine Plaza Guardian deck, which is one of the two big decks in the format.
The other big deck is Jax Orn, which I have no intention of banning ever. To give myself an edge against the equipment decks, I’m playing Buried in Ice in all of my decks. This gives me the advantage of being able to destroy my opponent’s equipment while keeping mine intact.
The decks that give me the most trouble are the Drisoth style elusives decks, which are nightmares for everything I’m doing.
I’m hoping that I can ban out the decks that give me the most trouble and that I can make it through this tournament. Wish me luck!
