Today I’m going to be talking about a Miss Fortune Vayne deck I’ve been playing recently. It all started when I was looking to port over a Vayne Jarvan deck I had been playing in Eternal. I wanted to find a replacement for Hearthblood Mender, which isn’t available outside of Eternal, and I stumbled upon Scrutinizing Sergeant. I was surprised to find out that it could hit Champions, and I knew I had to take advantage of that.
So I started searching for other high-powered Champions to play in this space, and Miss Fortune fit in perfectly. She’s one of the highest powered three cost cards in the game, and she’s been working great in this deck. I wanted to have other summon cards that worked strongly as well, so I added Piltovan Castaway, Mirai Warden, Durand Sculptor, and Petricite Broadwing.
The playability of Scrutinizing Sergeant allows for some really powerful summons. If we summon Piltovan Castaway, it will come into play with the equipment and give us the attune. If we summon Mirai Warden, it will summon an additional unit. We can get three units out of a single summon from the Sergeant.
The Night Ranger Defector is a key part of this deck, and I wanted to have more presence with the equipment. I added Combat Cook to help complement the Piltovan Castaway, and I replaced the Darkin Spear with Barknuckles. Barknuckles gives the Defector Brash, making it evasive, and the coins it adds to our hand can be really powerful. I’ve had games where I had three or four coins in my hand, which makes it easy to play Champion Strength in the same turn.
