The 4.2 patch has been out for two days now, and it’s already heavily defined by the Blocking Badgerbear. This card has single-handedly shut down the vast majority of Noxus-based aggro decks, allowing Elites to sweep in and take over the meta. Elites has been a popular deck before the 4.2 patch, so it was easy to update it to include the Badgerbear.

However, Elites has a real struggle with cards like Buried in Ice and Ruination. These cards are likely to start appearing in the meta as Elites doesn’t handle them well. This brings us back to Fiora Vayne.

At first, I tried to fit the Badgerbear into Aatrox Vayne. While we’re not playing Aatrox today, I really liked the access to Darkin Harp along with all the challengers. Elites doesn’t play much interactivity, so the quick attack challenges with Darkin Harp and the little birds works out nicely.

With the Best of Three Daily Rumbles running around, I wanted to play Quinn and Scouts. Without access to Quinn, I decided to fit Fiora into the deck. She’s great in this format as the decks with big units don’t have much interactivity and the key removal spells don’t kill four health units.

The deck also has access to four health units like Fiora, the Blocking Badger Bear, the Blood Cursed Harpy, and the Sometimes Combat Cook. It’s easy for the Imprevised Weapon with the Forge on it to take it up to four or five health.

We also have access to Formula. If your draws don’t go well or your opponent is able to interact with you, Formula gives you more late game punch.
