Today we’re going to be playing a game with Tryndamere, Trundle, Udyr, Sivir, and Nasus’s Action. We’re taking advantage of the Priestess of the Desert Light, a card that was added to the game in the 4.2 patch. This card allows you to deal four damage to it at the start of the round, then draw a champion. If your deck started with six different champions, you get to summon that champion instead. This is a great way to get value and close out the game.

However, if we’re being realistic, we have to analyze this card and consider what might happen. If we just play the champion and assume it will die when it takes the four damage, we’re breaking even on mana with Nasus, but we’re losing out on mana with the other champions. This isn’t a particularly good or strong deal. To make the Priestess summon and do something after the fact, we need to find ways to give it bonus health.

The most common way to do this is with the Spirits Unleashed. This is a great card for this style of deck because it’s good with all of our units and cards. It can deal damage to the opponent, clear out an opposing unit with one health, and more. If we play it before the Priestess, she comes down with five health and survives into the next turn. We can also use the Dark and Spear, Omen Hawk, and Inner Beast and Vulpine Wonder to give the Priestess bonus health.

The best we can get out of any of these cards is two activations. To make the Priestess survive throughout the entirety of the game, we can use Stance Swap with Inner Beast and Vulpine Wonder. We can also use Siphoning Strike to boost all of our Champions.

We’ll see if we can pull down some victories with the old Priestess. There have been reports that the Priestess is bugged and just summons the Champions out of your deck regardless of the deck building requirements, but we’ll assume that’s not the case. Good luck and have fun!
