Welcome to the Runeterra Open Singleton Edition! Today our deck is built around the powerful Aatrox. Aatrox is one of the most powerful pillars in the format, and it’s easy to draw him off of the equipment. Plus, he generates a powerful late game spell. This makes him a great choice for a singleton deck.

We’ve also included Demacia cards, like Vayne and all the equipment cards. This gives us a powerful and reasonable set of synergies. For our third faction, we tried out a few different options, like Kayne, Shurima, and Targon, before settling on Shadow Isles. We chose Shadow Isles for the same reason we chose Aatrox: the cards work even if they don’t come together perfectly. This lets us take advantage of cards like Vengeance, which is a great catch-all removal spell. We’ve also included Kindred, which is great in unit-based mid-rangey mirror matches.

We’ve structured our units to take advantage of Fearsome and four Health. Fearsome units are great against Seraphine control decks, which can’t block them. Four Health units are great against Seraphine’s removal spells, which are usually damage-based. We’ve also included a few Challenger units, which work well with the Hallowed theme and the equipment.

Our Spells are fairly straightforward. We have a great removal suite, including Vengeance and Shadow Isles Tellstone. We’re also playing Quietus, Vile Feast, and Hate Spike as early game removals. We have a bunch of strikes, including Single Combat, Fish Fight, Cataclysm, and Concerted Strike.

All in all, we’re really happy with our deck. We think it’s well-suited to the format and will give us a great chance of success. We’re looking forward to seeing how it performs!
