Battles with Bust #348 – Trundle | Sett | Tryndamere – Feeling the Rush in Unlimited Champs

Trundle Sett Tryndamere Unlimited Champions Gameplay Video

Today I’m doing battle in a Champions Unlimited Gauntlet. This is the world’s first experience playing Eternal, and it’s been loads of fun. During spoiler season for the release of Glory for Navori, we didn’t know what would be rotated out of the format. People quickly figured out a combo with the Old Timer, a 6/6 with double attack. When you play it, he recalls the strongest enemy, but if you’ve played 16 mana on this turn, you recall all enemies instead.

The combo uses the Ice Pillar from Trundle. You play the Ice Pillar, which costs 8 mana, and then you play the Old Timer. This way, you’ve spent 16 mana and you get to recall the entirety of the opponent’s board. This ties in nicely with Sett, since Set wants to see you spend a whole bunch of mana before he’s able to flip.

The Old Timer

The more explosive and fashionable way to activate all that mana is using Feel The Rush. The big combo we’re trying to pull off with this deck is Feel The Rush plus Sett. When you play Feel The Rush, it summons forth a Sett. At this point, Sett is likely to be flipped after we’ve spent all that mana. When Sett is flipped, he puts the Show Stopper into your hand. With the two 10/10s and the Show Stopper in hand, you can blow up the opponent right on the spot.

Sett

We’re also getting to add ramp spells like Catalyst of the Aeons and Voices of the Old Ones. Voices of the Old Ones also doubles up as a card draw spell since it looks at the top five cards of your deck and adds any 8+ cost cards. We’re also adding in cards like Smooth Mixologist, which is an early game play to help stall while we try to get our big ramp spells online. The last card we’re adding is Tag Out, which wasn’t available in the previous days of expensive Feel the Rush decks. We can use Tag Out to return our heal units to our hand.

Feel the Rush

This is the deck I’m doing battle with today. Wish me luck!
