Tristana Lulu Gameplay Video

I’m here to talk about the Unlimited Champions Gauntlet and the rise of the Bilgewater-based Bandle Gunners deck.

The Gauntlet is a great way to grind for the byes for the Runeteran Opens, and I wanted to make sure I gave it some attention before the format rotates. The Bandle Gunners deck has been on the rise since the 4.4 patch. It comes into play cheap, like Wiggly Burblefish used to do, and it has Spell Shield and Impact 3. People initially dove into Tristana decks to win with Might, but then they started using Cataclysm and Demacia to win with rallies.

The next step beyond that has been to move into Bilgewater and use the card Prize Fight. This card allows us to attack, then in the middle of combat Prize Fight our Impact unit onto something else to deal three or four damage. Even if we don’t have unblocked units or overwhelm, we can still manage to deal six attack through the course of this combat.

Prize Fight

The real power of this deck comes from cards like King’s Court. If we play two or three units on the same turn, we can put two or three copies of Prize Fight into our hand. If we attack with the Bandle Gunners and Prize Fight off of it twice, we can deal nine damage. If we Prize Fight off of it three times, we can deal twelve damage. This gives us a machine gun impact style that can really let these multiple impacts come through.

So, I’m going to enter the Gauntlet and see if I can unlock some of these things. I’m one point away from the Prime Glory and close to the Rumble Tokens. I’m hoping to secure some of those Rumble Tokens and get to play in the event for free. Wish me luck!
