In this episode, we will explore the concept of Vladimir Pirates and discuss their potential in the game. Let’s get started!
Vladimir Pirates: A Reimagined Classic Deck
In our earlier video on decks to try, we found that classic battle scars-style decks featuring Vladimir were not very effective. However, with Vladimir’s new damage-based ability, we discovered a unique strategy. By incorporating cheap units like Crimson Pigeon and Crusty Codger, we can activate Vladimir’s ability while overwhelming opponents with a wave of aggressive units.
Adapting to the Evolving Meta
As Legends of Runeterra continues to evolve, we’ve noticed the prevalence of action-oriented decks such as Lee Sin, Jax Ornn and Jax Vi. Additionally, players are experimenting with Zoe’s invoke deck. To counter these strategies, we have made slight adjustments to our spell suite. Currently, we are running three copies of Heavy Metal and two copies of Tidal Invocation.
The Power of Tidal Invocation
Tidal Invocation is a powerful new card from the latest set. It shares similarities with Vile Feast, allowing us to drain one from an opponent’s unit while summoning a 1/1 creature. This versatile card assists in board control and maintains aggression in later turns. Its inclusion in our deck enhances the overall strategy of the pirates.
Conclusion
In today’s battles, we will put Vladimir Pirates to the test. By reimagining a classic deck and adapting it to the current meta, we aim to showcase the strength and potential of this unique playstyle. Stay tuned for an exciting clash on the high seas of Legends of Runeterra!
