Today, we’re going to be exploring the Ruthless Rumble, featuring gameplay with Mount Targon Fizz, Jax Ornn, and Kennen Jinx.
One of the key factors shaping the Ruthless Rumbles and the upcoming Runeterra Open, a World’s qualifier, is the Siren Song card. There’s been a lot of debate about whether this card will receive a hot fix, similar to what happened with Concurrent Timelines in the previous format.
The reaction to Siren Song has been mixed, with some players arguing that it’s overpowered and others suggesting that it simply takes time to figure out how to manage new cards. It’s hard to tell whether these are genuine concerns or just attempts to generate clicks and views.
The recent Mastering Runeterra Open provided some insight into this debate. Contrary to the hype, we didn’t see players using three Siren Song decks. Instead, players are starting to figure out how to counter the Evelynn Deck with silences and the Fizz deck by playing in Demacia and using Elites and Scouts.

Looking ahead, I don’t anticipate any changes to Siren Song in the next week. However, in the balance patch a few weeks from now, we might see some adjustments, such as increasing its mana cost or reducing the health of the upgrades.

In terms of our lineup for the best of three experience, we’ve learned from previous events that banning the Mount Targon Fizz deck isn’t necessary. We feel comfortable playing the mirror match, and Jax Ornn and Kennen Jinx can hold their own against it.

We’ve also added the Kennen Jinx deck to our lineup. This deck is aggressive and has a lot of burn potential, which I love. Kennen, in particular, is a standout card in this deck, with his quick attacks and Mark of the Storm ability.
