When assembling a deck for each champion, you need to ask yourself three questions:
- How do I survive the early game?
- How do I finish a game that goes long?
- How do I interact with my opponent’s units?
Lux has the first two points covered. Her starting deck naturally has 3 plays that can be made on the first turn in Jarro Lightfeather, Luminosprite, and Vanguard Defender.

Her 1-star power in Light Guides Us, which grants a stack of Spirit on support or target, allows your early plays to easily scale into the late game.

Lux’ kit skims the surface of the third point, good interactivity, with two Challenger units and Smoldering Smirk as a strike, but she’s going to want to find a solid removal spell to round out the deck. It doesn’t have to be a guaranteed removal like Vengeance. A stun or recall will do.
The key to winning with Lux is getting her on board and having her survive. If you have 2-Starred Lux, I highly recommend The Lost Chapters as a relic. This will allow you to play Lux on turn 2, then immediately protect her with Prismatic Barrier.

There are a few options for relics to round out your Lux build. I like using Crownguard Inheritance. The rally on level up completes the necessity to have a Rally/Overwhelm/Elusive component to your build.

I also like The Chameleon’s Necklace. In the higher starred battles, you WILL LOSE the majority of games that you do not draw Lux. She doesn’t need Relics to provide combat effectiveness, so the added redundancy of the additional copies reduces the auto-losses.

The Necklace ties in to the deck building strategies I follow with Lux.
- I chase every Champion Item Chest to get more additional copies of Lux into your deck. Again, you WILL LOSE the majority of games that you do not draw her.
- Use shops to find removal spells. 1 solid removal is all it takes to have a Lissandra ready deck.
- Barring good item rolls, I aim cut cards in the following order: Tree Sprites -> Aberrant Mageseeker -> Laurent Protege -> Smoldering Smirk if multiple good removals found.
