Today I’m going to be talking about the Big Elusives. This isn’t something I was really familiar with until recently, but as I was leveling up my alternate account in Platinum, I started to run into this strategy more and more. It got me thinking about how it could fit into the current meta.
The Elusives have a lot of potential. They can be used to counter decks like Samira Fizz, which rely on putting elusive units attacking around a ground based board. They can also be used to counter Karma set style decks, where ground units are designed to be a roadblock and slow you down.
This isn’t a super aggressive deck. We’re looking to do 5-6 chip damage in the early game, and then blast our opponent with two Elusive units for the remaining 15 damage. It takes some thought to understand how to use the Elusives, but if we can pull it off, we can have some great highlight reel moments.
That’s what I’m going to be doing battle with today. Let’s jump in and see if we can have some good games with the Big Elusives. Who knows, maybe we can attack for 18 with one unit!
